"Knowledge carefully recorded is knowledge available in time of need."
-Richard G. Scott "Treasuring up the words of eternal life is more than merely studying or memorizing...is more than simply sampling or snacking. Treasuring up suggests to me focusing and working, exploring and absorbing, pondering and praying, applying and learning, valuing and appreciating, and enjoying and relishing."

Welcome to the Journey!Hello and welcome to my personal blog site!
My name is Carman Ragatz IV. I am a husband, father of three, and active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (aka: LDS; aka: Mormons). My life has definitely been and continues to be a journey with its ups and downs. I've tried on several occasions to narrate my journey via a journal but have been unsuccessful. This is my attempt at transparency to the world on my thoughts, feelings and insights. JOURNALS This site consists of two journals: Trip Log and Inspirations. Trip Log - This is my general journal about life and my day-to-day interactions. As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (aka: LDS Church) we are encouraged to keep a journal, or a "book of remembrance," to pass on our legacy to those after us. A journal has also been proven to be a helpful tool in opening up and getting to know yourself better. I hope to accomplish both of these goals with this online journal. Inspirations - This is my study journal. As a member of the LDS Church, I also believe in the importance of studying the scriptures and keeping a journal of my thoughts and impressions during my study. Scriptures can teach us things both directly and indirectly. We can learn from the content on the page and we can also learn from inspiration we receive from the Holy Ghost. A study journal serves to capture those thoughts and impressions in the moment. While these are my personal journals, I welcome comments and discussion! Please feel free to leave a comment on anything posted on this site. Also, please see the links to the right for further information about me or the LDS Church. CONTACT ME I also welcome any questions you may have. If there is something you would like to know about me, you can submit your request on the "Contact Me" page. Thank you again for visiting. I hope that you enjoy your stay and come again! Enjoy! |
