I know that it's been a while, but I thought I would try to get back into the journaling/blogging scene. What better way to get back in than with a fun little story?
As I was getting ready to go to work this morning, Benjamin had woke up. So, in an effort to keep him preoccupied, I decided to put a movie on for him while I prepared my lunch for work. As I pulled Netflix up on the Wii and started flipping through movie titles, Benjamin exclaimed, "I want the food one!"
Confused since none of them seemed to have anything to do with food, I started flipping back the other way. Almost immediately Benjamin cried again, "I want the FOOD one!"
"Okay Buddy," I agreed, but I had no idea which one he wanted. So I started flipping through a different direction, "You mean over here?" To which he replied, "NO, the FOOD one!"
I was really confused and tried going back to the beginning and starting over. At that time, Benjamin calmly and sincerely petitioned, "Daaaad, I ASK you, I want the FOOD one."
I had never heard Benjamin being so sincere! It melted my heart! I can't believe how fast he (and his sisters) are growing up!!! It's amazing to me!
Eventually I figured out that by "food" he meant "crood" as in he wanted to watch "The Croods" which I had been flipping over time and time again trying to find his "food one."
Now I know that when he says he wants food, it's nothing personal, he's just being a little "crood."
